Not-So-Breaking News! ;)
Jan. 30th, 2006 05:40 pmI dropped a pizza stone on my foot this morning, right before leaving my house for work.
Yeah, I know -- not a newsworthy tragedy. Ranks right up there with needing to walk from the back of the parking lot in the rain.
All I could think about, as I not-so-patiently waited for the waves of pain to subside, was the possibility of a broken toe (or two). But after a few minutes, I could move all the toes, so I knew the worst that would happen was a good bruise.
Fast forward an hour and a half, and I took off my shoe to see how things were developing. To my surprise, the bruise was nice and red -- and directly BETWEEN my fourth and fifth toe.
That stone fell between my toes, rather than on them.
Thank you, Lord!!
