After updating my LJ this afternoon, I used my father-in-law's ghastly dial-up connection to Google terms like "Primary Hard Drive Not Found". The hits I got were mostly techie message boards where relative novices (like Yours Truly) beg for advice from technogeeks. One of the posts I read gave advice like "change your IDE cables" and "disconnect your second hard drive before rebooting".

Ah, that last piece of advice? Worked like a charm! So whoever prayed for me today, THANK YOU!
